About Lazy Pool Owner

Pool care for people who’d rather be in the pool than working on it.

Lazy Pool Owner is for homeowners who want clear water without a chemistry degree or a weekend lost to skimming. We cover two things:

  1. Simple pool care. Clear, step-by-step fixes for the stuff that actually goes wrong: high pH, cloudy water, green water, and storm cleanup.
  2. Robotic pool cleaners. Which ones are worth the money, which ones aren’t, and how to choose for your pool.

Who’s behind this

Lazy Pool Owner is run by Logan Miller, a homeowner in Parkland, Florida. The site started from a simple goal: spend less time on pool chores and more time actually using the pool, and share what works in plain English.

How we research (and what we don’t do)

We want to be upfront about this: we don’t run a test lab, and we haven’t personally tested every product we write about. When a guide is based on research rather than hands-on use, it says so at the top.

Here’s what we do instead:

  • Read the maker’s spec sheets and note exact prices and dates, because prices change constantly.
  • Read independent hands-on reviews from publications that test robots in real pools, and link them so you can check our work.
  • Check safety recalls on cpsc.gov before recommending any product.
  • Cite water-chemistry guidance from public-health sources such as the CDC and established pool-industry references.
  • Update guides when prices, models, or recommendations change, and show the “updated” date.

If we ever get hands-on time with a product, we’ll say exactly how long and in what pool.

How we make money

Lazy Pool Owner is reader-supported. When you buy through some links on our site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Brands can’t pay to be included or to change our recommendations. The full details are on our affiliate disclosure page.

Not professional advice

Our chemistry guides are general information. Always follow the product label, wear proper safety gear, and call a licensed pool professional for equipment, electrical, or structural problems.
